Katie Slater is a freelance and fine art photographer based on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

She has continued her passion for the arts after graduating with a sculpture and photography degree from the University of Virginia. Katie credits her style of photography to her film studies and the thought of an intentional shutter.  Her frames consist of a feminine and nostalgic style while bringing a bright, relaxed feel. 

Post graduation, she has found a love for travel and seeking inspiration through the different relationships and cultures she finds on the road. Katie has taken photos while studying in Paris, living in Australia, and driving cross country as often as possible. Now, she finds influence through her everyday life and the surf culture she has adapted on the Outer Banks. She values being able to produce an image that not only brings a vision to fruition but tells a story as well. She strives to set up a creative shot or capture those ‘in-between’ moments. Overtime, Katie hopes to use her photography to show the simple pleasures of life and promote a healthy, active, and sustainable earth meant to be explored. 

Katies work includes campaign shoots for fashion brands, documentary and travel assignments, weddings, and fine art retail prints.
